Abmahnung
A German formal cease-and-desist / warning letter. The main BFSG enforcement mechanism against shops.
An Abmahnung is a formal warning letter under German law, typically demanding that a violation stop and that a penalty-backed declaration be signed. For accessibility, civil-society associations and competitors send BFSG-Abmahnungen to non-compliant shops, usually citing measurable failures like contrast or missing labels.
