BITV-Test
An established German manual accessibility testing methodology, based on WCAG / EN 301 549.
The BITV-Test is a recognised German methodology for manually evaluating web accessibility, derived from the BITV regulation and aligned with WCAG and EN 301 549. It evaluates the page as delivered to the browser.
Because it tests the real source markup, an overlay’s runtime DOM changes are out of scope — which is one reason overlays do not satisfy a serious assessment.
